Ubisoft a little too excited to sell you the same game again
Ubisoft lost the ability to surprise any Dogheads in the building with its incoming Watch Dogs 2 reveal event thanks to an advertisement that confirmed its release date and setting (San Francisco, great).
Separately, its trailer — or at least part of it cut into ad-form — started playing as Twitch.tv advertisements ahead of streams.

Friend of the site Hayden Dingman has already improved it with the music from Full House.
Fixed Watch Dogs 2’s marketing with the Full House theme. Huge improvement. pic.twitter.com/79ISpZApoH

Ubisoft’s hotly anticipated sequel to its confused, grave-vaulting game about how cool it would be to wear a trench coat while using your iPhone is coming out November 15. The formal announcement and livestream will be here at 9 AM PT. Thanks to it being set in my hometown, I look forward to another granular thing for me to complain about, as Ubisoft’s MO of making all of its videogames the same (violent open worlds with cluttered UI like a toddler both diarrhea’d and barfed alphabet soup) have kind of made my own complaints about its games just as stale.
