APB Reloaded officially went into open beta back in May. Since then, the outpouring of major updates for the game has been slim. Earlier today GamersFirst released the next big update in the form of version 1.5.2, better known as Open Beta 2. They detailed the specifics of the update and the plans for continuing on with the game on the official APB Reloaded dev blog.
According to the post, this update “contains the biggest changes to Missions, Matchmaking, Skill Rating and District Recommendation to date”; as such, they will be spending most of the weekend taking down different districts for patching to help with any instability caused by the update. Changes detailed include mostly stability fixes and optimizations to systems like matchmaking.
Moving forward, the company’s plans include watching to see how the new matchmaking updates have affected the threat system used to rank players. Other plans include adding new servers in places like Hong Kong, Australia, and Russia. They also detail some statistics about cheaters caught thus far, and reassure people that any situations related to cheaters are under control.
