Also onboard is Tali voice actress Ash Sroka
AR-K is a episodic point-and-click adventure game being developed by Spanish studio Gato Salvaje. The first is available to try for free, while episode two already written. The studio is turning to Kickstarter for help with funding the remainder of the series and it has brought in a heavyweight name from the world of comics to help.
Greg Rucka has been drafted to write episodes 3-5 of AR-K; Rucka is a great writer who has written for major characters for DC and Marvel, but it’s his independent work that I’m the biggest fan of. Series like Whiteout, Stumptown, and especially Queen and Country are some of my favorite comics. Greg has a real great record of writing strong female protagonists, so I’m sure he’d do a great job with Alicia, the main character of AR-K.
In addition to Greg Rucka getting on board, Alicia will be voiced by Ash Sroka, best known as the voice of Tali from the Mass Effect trilogy, from episode 2 onwards. There’s a neat little trailer on the Kickstarter page which is pretty funny (I didn’t watch the Whiteout movie, either, Greg) and at worst, you can always at least play the first chapter before supporting the project, which makes a big difference in my eyes.
