And other details from Rocksteady’s latest game
New details have emerged from the Game Informer cover story of Batman: Arkham Knight, and there’s a lot to take in. First off, “Arkham Knight” is actually the name of a new villain that was created by DC Entertainment. The character will apparently “really challenge Batman to go head to head with him in lots of different ways.” The old voice cast is also back, including Kevin Conroy as Batman.
There will no multiplayer, because Rocksteady says it is “making the best single-player experience it can.” The story will take place one year after Arkham City, where the crime rate has declined, in a map that’s five times as big as City. Rocksteady also calls this a true next-gen game, where over 50 enemy models can be on-screen at once during a riot. They’re also aiming to make the Batmobile “the best car in any game ever,” and it instantly appears at your location after pressing a button.
Finally, Rocksteady said that they “most definitely” will not do a Batman related game next. There are a whole lot more details out there, but I know some of you would prefer to wait and be surprised later this year.
