[Every week (until I get bored), Art Juice takes a recent videogame story and provides an unremittingly artistic slant, telling us a little something about ourselves in the process … whether we want to know the truth or not!]
This week, Art Juice casts a satirically wry glance at Mass Effect 3 and the recent confirmation that EA would be justifying an online pass with a shoehorned multiplayer mode. I think you’ll find that this little piece of work really goes for the jugular and expresses emotions.
You’ll note that the stark color contrast between John Riccitiello’s luxurious feathered robe and the harsh sci-fi backdrop really makes him “pop” with vibrancy and effervescence. Although this portrait contains beaucoup irony for us to examine with a smirk, the look of anguish on Sheperd’s face communicates a darker and more serious point, one that hits us like a sledgehammer once we truly appreciate it.
