There was one problem with the recently revealed Assassin’s Creed 2 GameStop exclusive Collectors/Limited Edition thing: we couldn’t tell exactly what was packaged in it. Twitter is a great tool for letting your buds know what you ate for breakfast, but the strict character limit leaves much to be desired on the information front. Lucky for all of us, the official GameStop Web site doesn’t have such limitations.
The Limited Edition version of the game, dubbed the “Master Assassin’s Edition,” has six exclusive things: an 8.5 inch Ezio statue, an artbook, a metal case, a DVD with behind-the-scenes stuff and the game’s soundtrack, as well as two GameStop-exclusive “in-game” maps (the “Palazzo Medici” and “Santa Maria Dei Frari”).
You’d figure a set with all of that would have a brutal price. Think again. The Master Assassin’s Edition of the game — available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 — is $79.99 and hits day and date with the peasant versions of the title.
