There’s even an adventurer’s guild for an added incentive to add some dungeon-crawling to your cozy farming sim. The one featured in Coral Island goes by the Band of Smiles and it’s an international organization dedicated to protecting innocent lives from monsters.

How to join the Band of Smiles

Joining the Band of Smiles is a breezy prospect. Players must start by descending 10 levels into the Earth mine, the first available cavern in Coral Island.

Afterward, the Band of Smile’s local branch leader, Kira sends the player a letter inviting them to the organization if they pass an entrance exam. This begins the Entrance Exam quest, tasking players with killing 30 monsters. Despite sounding like a lot, early-game monsters in Coral Island are easy to kill and only go down in a few hits.

Once some monster slaying has concluded, visit the Band of Smiles’ local headquarters. Coral Island doesn’t feature quest markers, and Kira’s only directions are that it’s next to her house, so it can be a pain to find if you don’t know where she lives.

Thankfully, it’s not far from the caverns or the player’s farm. If arriving from the caverns, keep going south down the road and take the first left. If approaching from the farm, leave through its northern exit and turn left as soon you see the ranch.

After that, the quest concludes with a short scene of Kira giving the player a proper introduction to the Band of Smiles and showing them the headquarters’ interior. After becoming an official member, players can now take requests from the Band of Smiles members. Like farming requests, these involve dropping off specific resources to the quest giver.
