Best brooms in Hogwarts Legacy, all brooms ranked

All brooms (ranked) and where to find them.

There’s only one thing that’s better than zipping around on a broom in Hogwarts Legacy, and that’s doing so in style. Here’s my extremely objective ranking of the best, most aesthetically pleasing brooms in Hogwarts Legacy.

There are 13 different brooms you can obtain from shops or challenges. They don’t affect how you fly (you’ll need upgrades for that), but they do add a nice layer of customization.

1. Bright Spark

At the top of my list is my personal favorite. The Bright Spark broom has two glowing stars dangling from the handle. They don’t move in the wind as much as I imagined, but they do sway a bit. The bristles also leave a twinkling trail of sparks in the sky as you fly. Great for an astronomy-loving Ravenclaw! This broom is obtained by completing all balloon-popping challenges in the open world.

2. Ember Dash

Here’s another favorite of mine: the Ember Dash broom. This attractive broom is perpetually on fire, which glows brighter as you fly and leaves a small trail of smoke. It can be bought from Albie Weekes in Hogsmeade for 600 gold.

3. Night Dancer

Another of my favorites. The Night Dancer broom has blue and brown ribbons draped around the handle, which whip around satisfyingly as you fly. The dark blue sort of suggests Ravenclaw, but it’s subtle enough that it suits witches and wizards from any house. It can be obtained by popping two sets of balloons in the open world.

4. Wild Fire

Like the Ember Dash broom, the Wild Fire broom is permanently on fire. This also glows brighter as you fly and leaves a subtle smoke trail. Unlike the Ember Dash broom though, this one has a bell attached to the handle and has a more organic handle design. It can be obtained by popping 10 sets of balloons in the open world.

5. Lickety Swift

The Lickety Swift broom looks like the wizarding equivalent of a city bicycle. It’s sleek, stylish, and has a picnic basket attached behind the seat. It can be obtained by popping five sets of balloons in the open world.

6. Silver Arrow

The Silver Arrow broom has pale yellow bristles and an odd spur jutting down from below the seat. I’m not sure what function this serves, if any, but it does give it a unique shape. It can be bought from Arn in Lower Hogsfield for 5,000 gold.

7. Moon Trimmer

The Moon Trimmer broom looks like something a mysterious night traveler would fly on. It has a pair of bags strapped to the bristles and a glowing lantern hanging from the handle. This lantern appears to attract moths, as several can be seen flying around it when you hover. It can be bought from Albie Weekes in Hogsmeade for 600 gold.

8. Hogwarts House Broom

Depending on which house you’ve been sorted into, the Hogwarts House broom will change its appearance to match. The plaid covering around the bristles and the trailing ribbons will be blue for Ravenclaw, yellow for Hufflepuff, green for Slytherin, and red for Gryffindor. A great way to represent your house when you’re out and about! Buy it from Albie Weekes in Hogsmeade for 600 gold.

9. Aeromancer

The Aeromancer broom has an adorable little cauldron dangling from its handle. A mysterious blue liquid inside bubbles away, leaving a small trail of blue fumes as you fly. Is–is it safe to breathe this? The Aeromancer broom can be bought from Rohan Prakash near Cragcroft Shore for 3,000 gold.

10. Yew Weaver

The Yew Weaver broom has a twisted handle design and a neat, conical bristle arrangement. The bristles are covered by some pale green fabric. There’s a subtle glowing effect that spirals down the handle and brush. Overall, it gives off some nice, homey Hufflepuff vibes. You can buy it from Albie Weekes in Hogsmeade for 600 gold.

11. Sky Scythe

The Sky Scythe broom has an aggressive green and black color scheme in its bristles. I’m not sure if the green works well with the red-toned wood and twisting design of the handle. Perhaps it looks better on Slytherins or if you’re wearing green anyway. It can be bought from Leopold Babcocke in Hogsmeade Valley for 5,000 gold.

12. Wind Wisp

The Wind Wisp has a very small brush in comparison to its handle. Like the Moon Trimmer broom, this one has a lantern hanging from the handle, as well as some moths to keep you company. I like the lantern, but I can’t get over how unbalanced it looks with its tiny bunch of bristles at the back. It can be bought from Albie Weekes in Hogsmeade for 600 gold.

13. Family Antique

At the bottom of the list is the Family Antique broom. I have nothing against antiques, but this broom looks like someone tied a bunch of twigs to some driftwood. That might have its own charm for some people, but not for me. If you like it though, you can buy it from Priya Treadwell north of Feldcroft for 2,500 gold.

I hope you enjoyed my very authoritative ranking of the best-looking brooms in Hogwarts Legacy. Regardless of where your favorite broom falls on this list, I hope you enjoy your broom of choice as you soar the skies!
