The Grimoire is one of the newest weapons to come to Warframe, having many special mechanics and specific mods that can really change the way you approach gameplay. It’s not the most powerful weapon in the bunch, but it is a fun one. If you’re looking to find the “best” build for the Grimoire in Warframe, we have you covered.
Best Grimoire build in Warframe
This build will use some familiar mods that boost the critical and status chances of the weapon. This is to up the weapon’s DPS overall but also act as a support tool. Here are the mods we used below:
- Frostbite
- Pistol Pestilence
- Primed Target Cracker
- Galvanized Diffusion
- Lethal Torrent
- Creeping Bullseye
- Fass Canticle
- Xata Invocation
- Lethal Momentum
The use of Frostbite and Pistol Pestilence gives this weapon Viral damage, making it good universally across all factions. Stack that with the innate Electric damage and now you can destroy enemy shields and wither down health with constant procs. Because of the dual-stat mods, you’re also increasing the stacks of status chance procs on enemies.
Galvanized Diffusion is used here for more multishot, but if you don’t have it, you can sub it out with its normal counterpart— Barrel Diffusion. Stack that with Lethal Torrent for even more multishot to just see the energy projectiles rack up damage quickly.
Then, we have the critical damage and chance mods to boost the overall damage output of the Grimoire. We did go with Creeping Bullseye, but it can be substituted with Pistol Gambit or its Primed variant.
Next, we put a Lethal Momentum mod in just for the projectiles to land more frequently on enemies. The Grimoire is a slow weapon in terms of fire rate and projectile speed, so since we have the fire rate increased with Lethal Torrent, we went with Lethal Momentum in the Exilus slot.
Now, for the more unconventional mods. Fass Canticle is going to be used as a support boost for allies. The shield recharge rate and delay will help your teammates survive in higher-level missions.
Then we also put Xata Invocation for energy regeneration on alt-fire. This weapon has infinite ammo and never has to reload, so you’re going to be spamming shots toward enemies. Upon successful hits, the alt-fire charges, allow you to use it quite often. This book is going to help you maintain a good energy economy, especially if you’re using a frame that is dependent on casting abilities.
These are mods in that you have to fulfill some kind of condition to activate their effect. Similar to the Galvanized Mods, there is a big payoff for being able to meet that condition often.
