Arc System Works is finally ready to roll out its shiny new rollback netcode experience for BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle.

A new update, launching on PS4 and PC on April 14, will add the much-vaunted rollback netcode technology to the anime crossover fighter, hopefully providing much slicker, smoother, and more reliable connections for all players battling it out on these specific platforms.

Since February, ArcSys has been monitoring player feedback via a PC beta, fine-tuning the update to rescue those all-important lagging frames. With the looming arrival of the rollback netcode update, the PC beta is to be retired tomorrow, April 13. Once the new update is live, it is hoped that BlazBlue: CTB players the world over will experience the same kind of positive online experience as enjoyed by players of similarly powered titles such as SNK’s The King of Fighters XV and ArcSys’ own Guilty Gear Strive.

Addressing the elephant in the room, it should be noted that the Nintendo Switch edition of BlazBlue: CTB is not on schedule to receive the new rollback update, nor has the developer made any mention of it being on deck for future plans. BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is available now on PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
