Surprisingly enough, Boom Blox is one of my favorite Wii-exclusive games. There’s something about destroying towers and making baby gorillas cry that appeals to me. Although the series is strongly geared towards fully utilizing the Wii remote, I know I’ve thought about what the games could be like on other consoles before.
And it seems I’m not the only one to daydream about such a thing. VideoGamer caught up with EA Bright Light studio head Harvey Elliott recently, and he told the site “I wouldn’t rule anything out.”
“I can’t imagine that on other devices at the moment,” he adds. “There’s something very physical about it. Right now I’m really proud that it’s stayed focused on the Wii and I think it’s the right thing. Who knows for the future.”
When asked whether or not we would see a third Boom Blox game, Elliott gave a few hints. “I wouldn’t say never. I really wouldn’t. We’ve really enjoyed making it. This one does have a lot of new features over the last one. I’d want there to be a step again. I want to make sure that what we do steps it up again.”
The more Boom Blox we get, the better. Bring it on, guys.
