As I’ve covered Injustice 2 news over the past few weeks, I’ve bounced back and forth between ironic and actual excitement. After seeing the last of the story trailers, I think I’m officially hyped. Jeffrey Combs already seems like a great choice for Brainiac and, although much of the community considers the design ugly (How attractive is Brainiac supposed to be?), I’m all in. Especially after seeing how cheap of a character he can be.
Brainiac’s monstrous reach is going to fare well against zoning/keep away characters like Dr. Fate and Deadshot. His tentacles are going everywhere and sinking themselves into every orifice on screen. I do love how cool it looks when he propels himself with them, and I can’t wait to get my hands on this slippery monster in a few weeks.
Too bad about those Source Crystals though.
Injustice 2 is out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One May 16.
