So we can all get the song stuck in our heads again
Young Horses has announced that its cute, (if a tad weird) island adventure Bugsnax is heading to mobile platforms, and will be receiving a new port for iOS devices this coming summer.
Bugsnax, which launched in 2020 on PlayStation and PC platforms, before later coming to Xbox and Nintendo Switch, sees the player pick up the pad and pen of a news reporter, invited to the whimsical Snaktooth Island by explorer pal Elizabert Megafig. Upon arrival, however, Megafig is nowhere to be found, and the player must explore the terrain, communicate with the locals, and study and record the behaviors of a strange race of food-based creatures — the titular “Bugsnax”.

Following a successful marketing campaign, Young Horses released Bugsnax to mostly positive reviews, with critics and players enjoying the game’s colorful visuals and interesting world, as well as its oddly unnerving premise and storytelling. The new iOS port has been redesigned for the mobile platform, and will feature optimized HUD and control systems for touchscreen devices. It will also support numerous controllers for though who wish to play the traditional way.
Bugsnax launches this summer on iOS, and is available now on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
