Activision confirmed that Zombie Royal is coming to Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile on June 26, which coincides with the start of Season 4 Reloaded. Zombie Royal is a limited-time game that first appeared in the original Warzone, and then Raven Software remade the mode in the battle royale sequel.

Warzone 2’s iteration of Zombie Royale supported a lobby of 72 players in trios. When a player gets killed, they turn into a zombie instead of getting sent to the gulag. Zombies are relatively weak but have charged jump, gas grenade, and fury abilities that help take down humans more easily. Human players dropped a syringe of Antivirals upon death; if a Zombie player retrieved two Antivirals, they would be sent back into the map as a human player again. However, if a zombie is killed, they must be redeployed by a human squadmate.

Activision did not specify if the Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile Zombie Royal game mode or if there will be more changes and innovations. There will be a full blog post one week before the mid-season update goes live that will detail the upcoming game mode. If this Zombie Royal is anything like what we have previously seen, it will undoubtedly be one of the most popular game modes in the battle royale. Players universally praised both previous versions.
