Can you skip cutscenes in Wild Hearts? – Answered

Yep, thankfully

While heavily story-based games often do have the option to skip cutscenes, not everyone is going to use it. But for an action-centric game that’s settled in squarely in the hunter genre? I’m willing to bet a lot of folks are going to make use of that. Here’s how to skip cutscenes in Wild Hearts.

You can skip cutscenes in Wild Hearts from the very start

When a cutscene is playing in Wild Hearts, you can press the [start] button on your controller of choice, and a little “skip” prompt will appear in the lower right hand corner. Press it again if it didn’t trigger, and a menu will pop up asking if you want to skip the current cinematic. Thankfully, unlike a lot of other recent AAA games, this pauses the scene. It’s not like Wild Hearts is going to have any Metal Gear Solid 4-length explosively expository scenes, but it’s nice to use all the same if you’re looking to just get to the next hunt, or a friend’s co-op session.

It’s important to note that not all scenes in the game are strictly cutscenes. Sometimes you’ll need to listen to dialogue from key characters, but you can skip a lot of that, too. Press the X button (A on Xbox) to skip past certain spoken bits.
