Capcom teases fake Mega Man Vs Capcom Vs Marvel game

Damn you, Capcom. Why do you tease? This has to be the zillionth time you’ve advertised a fake game that I’d kill to actually play. Lego Strider, the NES Dark Void port, all just as awesome as (if not more awesome than) your real games.

This one takes the cake though. This is the fake Capcom game I want above all others.

Around the time that Marvel Vs. Capcom was first released, Capcom promoted the game with their Secret File magazine, which included a flier for Rockman V: Confrontation! Dr Marvel!. The fake game’s bosses (seen above) include Hadou Man (Ryu), Kumo Man (Spider Man), Taichou Man (Captain Commando), Doku Man (Venom), Sexy Man (Morrigan), Mr. Monami (Gambit) Nagehame Man (Zangeif), Meriken Man (Captain America), Nazo no Ninja Robo (Strider), and Tsume Man (Wolverine). My guess is at the end you battle Dr Marvel (Stan Lee), and kill him with one shot.

With Marvel Vs Capcom 2 back out on PSN/XBLA, I wonder how hard (and how expensive) it would be for Capcom to get the rights to extend the use of those characters a little bit, and make this game a reality. Mega Man 9 was great and all, but  if Capcom if going to make another 8bit Mega Man to follow up, they have to really shake things up to keep it interesting.

I think Sexy Man would do the trick.
