Hey, get this: Ninja Gaiden publisher Tecmo Koei says that Ninja Gaiden 3 is going to be a good game. While not officially announced, Tecmo Koei senior managing director Yoshiki Sugiyama is already talking up the sequel.
“Ninja Gaiden is such a beloved and important franchise for us and fans expect such great things from the next installment that we need to indulge in a little nurturing,” he told CVG, before adding, “If and when we talk about a new Ninja Gaiden, it will be spectacular.”
Presumably the game will be handled by Tecmo Koei’s Team Ninja, and it would be the first of the developer’s Ninja Gaiden titles without Tomonobu Itagaki around. The outspoken developer parted ways with Tecmo Koei last year amidst legal battles; he’s now working on a new title with new studio Valhalla Game Studios.
