In addition to the fantastic-looking Super Time Force, Capybara Games has some unannounced projects in development, two of which were teased on the most recent episode of 8-4 Play. If you’d like to hear this discussion only, skip to the last ten minutes, but know that the folks at 8-4 put on a great podcast.
Kris Piotrowski from Capybara said that one of the games “has a little bit of overlap” with Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP in terms of its mood. While it is “in no way a sequel to Sworcery,” it’s “coming from the same place” with influences like Ico, Dark Souls, and Out of This World.
The other title — slated for sometime after the aforementioned projects — is “light-hearted,” “totally insane,” and has a vibe reminiscent of Super Jail. In other words: hell yes.
Craig D. Adams of Superbrothers was also in the sharing mood. The new game he’s working on “will carry through a lot of the same sensibilities” as Sworcery, but will not be a 2D game or have the same signature pixel art style “as a focus.”
