The Triple-I Initiative for 2024 started out strong with a brief teaser for Slay the Spire 2. Like its predecessor, Slay the Spire 2 will be released in Early Access on Steam first in 2025 and evolve based on player feedback before its full release.
According to the Steam Page, Slay the Spire 2 adds new slayers with their own sets of cards, mechanics, and personalities. Slayers will encounter all-new enemies, events, and treasures as they explore the Spire.
It also looks like Slay the Spire 2 has been built from the ground up in a new game engine, which should allow developer Mega Crit to perhaps include some new features. Speaking of which, the Steam Page teases that there will be new ways to play, but nothing confirmed just yet.
Mega Crit also tweeted out that more info on the roguelike card battler would be available later this year ahead of its Early Access release in 2025.
