A month and a half after release, The Behemoth has posted on their development blog that they’ve stomped out the last of the bugs which plagued Castle Crashers on release. The problems users had with connecting to each other in games as well as a nasty glitch that caused some players to lose all of the items accumulated in-game will be fixed in an update which they are about to send off to Microsoft for review.
Don’t get too excited just yet. The certification process could take a bit of time, up to a few weeks, according to the designers. They also warn that, should there be some sort of problem with their patch that doesn’t satisfy MS, Behemoth will have to fix the issue and start the certification process again from the beginning.
Being a person who has experienced the heartache (and blind rage) which follows losing all of their hard-won gear in the game, I’m glad to hear that the issues are being addressed at long last. It’s a fantastic game in spite of the issues, but it’s been quite some time and I have to wonder how many people have moved past Castle Crashers in light of all the other big titles dropping in our midst.
What say you? Are you looking forward to being able to play with people over Live without all the dropped connections? Is it too late?
