CES 2008: Disney, ABC, and MGM bringing content to Xbox LIVE Video Marketplace

Recommended Videos

Good news for fans of Miley Cyrus and Dr. McDreamy. During tonight’s Microsoft CES 2008 press conference, President of Entertainment & Devices Division Robbie Bach announced some new Xbox LIVE Video Marketplace partnerships that I’m sure will make your jaws drop.

The first two partnerships bring television content in the form of Disney and ABC programming. This includes shows like Disney’s Hannah Montana and the ridiculously popular High School Musical, and NBC’s Lost, Grey’s Anatomy, and Deseperate Housewives. On the movie side, MGM will also be bringing its library of films to the Marketplace, and will be delivering films such as Dances with Wolves, Rocky, Terminator, Silence of the Lambs, and Legally Blonde

Bach is quick to point out that with this content, Xbox LIVE Video Marketplace will be offering twice as many hours of on-demand content than any cable or sattelite provider.

More (if any) Xbox 360 related news as it comes.
