As of writing, Starfield is just two weeks away from release. Will the long wait finally pay off? We don’t know, but until we get our collective hands on it, you can scope out this new live action trailer for Bethesda’s upcoming sci-fi RPG.
Accompanied by a more “floaty” and orchestral version of Elton John’s “Rocket Man” (because of course), the footage shows a heroic-looking astronaut who gifts a young girl a badge bearing the Starfield logo.
He then jettisons off into space, flying among the cosmos, hope and awe in his eyes. Then some brief pew-pew-pew-ing before he finds himself touching grass (or…dust, in this case) on a new planet.
I would have chosen Babylon Zoo’s “Spaceman,” personally
As if Starfield needed any more hype. This is Bethesda’s newest IP in 25 years, and it’s easily one of the most anticipated video games of this generation. While there’s already been some criticism towards the game’s main menu, many are excited about Starfield.
Still, this live action trailer does have a certain “epic” quality about it, if you’ll pardon the cliché. If nothing else, it gives Microsoft a chance to flex its Big Budget muscles.
If, for some reason, you haven’t committed the date to memory, Starfield will be launching on September 6 for Xbox Series X|S exclusive and PC.
