Ethan Carter remastered in UE 4!
[Update: All done! Look out for my review of Odallus today. Spoilers: I liked it.]
I’ve got some games and can’t possibly play them without someone watching me, so won’t you?
The PS4 version of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is out today and has been rebuilt from scratch in Unreal Engine 4. The PC version was running on Unreal Engine 3, so hopefully this looks a lot slicker. For those unfamiliar with the game, it is a spooky first-person puzzle adventure title where you play as a detective trying to solve, you guessed it, the vanishing of Ethan Carter.
After we finish being spooked, I’ll be streaming a bunch of the Castlevania-like Odallus: The Dark Call which releases tomorrow on Steam for $14.99. I’ve always been a large fan of the original Castlevania, so Odallus looks right up my alley. I hope it isn’t too difficult as the developers noted that it was also influenced by Ghosts ‘n Goblins, which is totally way harder than any Souls game. Plus it has a minecart level which always instantly make games that much better.
