Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles on the Wii seems to get better and better with each passing tidbit of information that comes to light. The latest bit of juicy confirmation from Famitsu tells us that a 2-player co-op mode is a reality. Oh, but there’s more — Your starting point in the game will change, depending on which character you decide to play as. Not exactly ground-breaking stuff for an RE game, as Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 0 did something like this as well — but who’s complaining?
The bottom line is that this game seeks to give us a peek into some of the missing back-story (from Umbrella’s perspective) that Resident Evil fans have been waiting for. That alone, warrants some interest. Knowing that some of the former members of Clover Studios are working on it seals the deal. If only they would give us a solid release date, I’d be able to stop hitting up the Capcom website like a crack addict. Until then, keep your eyes peeled for updates as we get them.
