Alternative title for this week: Super Nintenbone.
Comments of the Week is a feature where we scour the front page, community blogs and forums picking out comments. The ones that make you think, the ones that make you laugh and the ones that make you cry (but also laugh), and consolidate them into an entertaining package for the viewing pleasure of you, the Destructoid community.
Comments will fall into three categories:
TRUTH: Chrono Truther
LOL: Hilardious
WUT? The Lost Mindkings
From PS Vita has cross-game chat, PS3 probably never will
This reminds me of the whole Sixaxis/Dualshock 3 debacle, which played out like this:
“Look, guys, we’d love to give you a PS3 controller with motion sensing and vibration, but it can’t be done.”
“Look, even if it could be done. You guys wouldn’t want it. Vibration is so last generation.”
“Here are your DualShock 3s! Come and get ’em!”

At first I was like *sigh* and then I was like SENSATIONAL TWIST.

If it’s only REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY good, then I think I’ll pass.

Silent Hill characters in a kart racer? What next, Mario characters in a psychological horror?
No, that doesn’t count…
From FemShep 5: Why is this such a big deal?
Cue joke about Mass Erect.
Byronic Man saw an opportunity and he took it. Any one of us would have done the same.
ZombiePlatypus drank a lot of alcohol and posted in the forums. Here is part of what happened.
Now, in other business:
From Preview: Lollipop Chainsaw
Talk about misguided hate. I can understand a certain amount of animosity when mythology is used to fill out an otherwise weak premise, but I don’t think that Lollipop Chainsaw is that title.
Also, Castlevania has been delivering “unmatched stories” now? Since when?
From What game is in your Super Nintendo RIGHT NOW?!
Erm, Genesis and Super Nintendo are the same generation, so I don’t know what you are talking about.
From Hands-on: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Three months ago, Bioware announced they are not “moving away from that crap”:
Also, I presume you’re a Gears of War fan Jimmy. It might interest you that the first game Cliff Bleszinski authored, and the game that got him started in the industry, was a medieval adventure title called The Palace of Deceit: Dragon’s Plight. I think you will enjoy the description, taken from the Moby Games website:
“In this early Windows adventure game, the player directs the actions of Nightshade, a dragon of unusual coloration, as he escapes from a dungeon in Castle Lockemoer, “the Palace of Deceit”, and attempts to revenge himself and his people against the sinister Garth, a wizard attempting to rid the world of Salac of its friendly draconians. Nightshade was imprisoned in an attempt by Garth to obtain the secret location of the hidden Land of Dragons through torture, and now Nightshade will scour every square foot of Garth’s palace, from the subterranean mines to kitchens, libraries, gardens and torture chambers, to find what he needs to overthrow the genocidal Garth: the lost sword of The Great One.”
I find it’s always interesting to find out more about your heroes.
