The Commodore 64 fills me with many wonderful memories. Games like Dizzy: Prince of the Yolkfolk, Wizball, and That One About The Little Pudgy Guy Picking Up Pages Of A Book And That’s All I Remember swallowed many an evening in my childhood.
We’ve written about the C64x before, but those of you who grew up with an Amiga can relive those memories soon. Commodore USA is working on three models of Amiga computers, the 1000, 2000 and 3000. The 2000 will be the biggest, large enough to contain seven full size expansion cards, a full size ATX power supply, a full size ATX motherboard, six hard drives and a full size optical drive.
The 1000 is “elegant and stylish,” seemingly designed more for work than gaming, while the 3000 is “a powerful foundation for all your creative and entertainment needs,” designed to be outfitted as either a gaming rig or home theater.
This is exciting, but will any of them make that screeching loading sounds? That’s all I really want.
