We all know that Crytek’s CryENGINE 3 engine (redundant?) can make things look really, really pretty. We also know that some good games can come from it. However, how well will it handle the upcoming motion control apocalypse that we are now facing? Will it handle it at all?
According to Crytek’s CEO, Cevat Yerli, Crytek has been work hard for both Move and Natal. He states that the company is “working very closely with Sony and Microsoft in regards to motion control on both the PS3 and Xbox 360.”
Along with their motion control development Crytek is also diving head first into 3D gaming. Crytek’s Global business development manager, Carl Jones, told Develop that the studio is taking 3D very seriously. He explained that 3D “certainly adds a lot to a number of games. Depth perception in an FPS really changes the game and makes it a lot more enjoyable.”
“I think people are starting to wake up and take notice that 3D is on its way, it’s not long before developers are taking advantage of it.”
