One Shot, Five Kills, apparently
A Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) player has been making waves among the community with a video of an amazing play in which they defeated the entire opposing team with one single bullet.
The video, which was shared online by FullSquadGaming’s Jake Lucky, sees player sp1cay achieve the momentous Ace just seconds into a fresh round of Bomb Defusal. Double-timing to a popular charge corridor on the “Inferno” map, sp1cay tosses a flash to cover his approach before switching to the powerful AWP sniper rifle, noticing movement, sp1cay fires off a single round which, in a moment worthy of Tom Berenger, (or I guess John Wick for you, junior), headshots all five members of the opposing team, whose ill-fated noodles happened to be in alignment.
Check out the moment in the video below. As it’s a multiplayer shooter, prepare for NSFW dialogue.
Referenced by Jake Lucky as a “once in a lifetime” shot, the wild one bullet Ace quickly spread throughout the CS:GO community, (naturally bringing folk out of the woodwork to claim that they “do this at least once a day”.) Lucky notes that he plans to interview sp1cay about the cool clip at a later date, as the player went on vacation the next day — like your average hitman would after completing an assignment. Peyowww!
If you fancy checking out CS:GO for yourself, now is as good a time as any, as developer Valve has recently announced plans to launch a revamped Counter Strike 2 this coming summer. The new edition will carry over all of the community’s statistics and purchases from the original game, but will sport an overhauled engine, updated visuals, dynamic new special effects, and tweaked maps and modes. The interest in the new announcement recently saw CS:GO smash its all-time concurrent player record, pulling in 1,470,183 users on Saturday, March 11.
