Dark Souls and Bloodborne composer is back to handle Elden Ring’s music

Music to my ears

We know very little about FromSoftware’s Elden Ring at this point. We know A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin is collaborating on the story in some way, and we know that Hidetaka Miyazaki is directing it. Otherwise, FromSoftware has mostly kept us in the dark.

However, we now know that Elden Ring will sound familiar. Composer Yuka Kitamura confirmed via Twitter that she’s creating the score for Elden Ring. Kitamura is a FromSoftware favorite, as she handled the music in Dark Souls 2 and 3, Bloodborne, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

FromSoftware hasn’t given us a reason to doubt the studio over the past decade or so, especially when it comes to action RPGs. Hell, this style of game is called Souls-like for a reason. The silence around Elden Ring isn’t cause for concern, it just breeds more intrigue. Now we know the soundtrack should be up to snuff — even though we probably could’ve assumed that all along.
