Those playing the Xbox 360 version of THQ’s Darksiders will notice some very prominent screen-tearing issues. It’s so irritating that I can’t stop looking at it as I play through the game for review. Thankfully, developer Vigil is aware of the issue and has promised an incoming patch.
“It’s something that’s really not a difficult fix for us and so we’re going to implement a patch to resolve the problem,” says creator Joe Madureira. “We’re fairly certain it’ll happen really soon so look out for it.”
It’s great that a fix is coming, but one does wonder how that problem made it out of the door. It’s so obvious, unmissable and completely distracting that you’d have thought it would’ve been caught long before release. It’s a shame, too, because aside from that one problem, Darksiders is bloody terrific fun.
