DC Comics-themed MOBA Infinite Crisis closing in August

Steam users can request a refund

Hope you didn’t invest much money in Infinite Crisis. After failing to make a big enough name for itself in the MOBA market, the game is giving up. Turbine ended development efforts today and plants to shut down service on August 14, 2015. Until then, it’s “completely free.”

Players who went for the Starter or Elite Pack on Steam can request a refund. Good thing, too — Infinite Crisis has only been on the platform for a couple of months. Something to keep in mind the next time a fresh-faced, microtransaction-supported multiplayer game enters your life.

I never considered playing it, but I did enjoy seeing the occasional oddities like SoCal Hal.

Infinite Crisis Closes: August 14th, 2015 [Steam]
