The heroes and villains of DC Universe Online will soon be getting yet another DLC pack containing a whole bunch of content and another new power set. “Battle for Earth” will begin a new chapter in DCUO‘s greater narrative where players will fight the ultimate battle against Brainiac and his final Avatar. A “shocking new threat” will be introduced with the fall of Brainiac, it seems like Earth never catches a break.
Alongside the continuing story SOE have added two new raids. The first is on Themyscira, which is being assaulted by Brainiac’s minions. Any island populated exclusively with gorgeous female warriors is worth defending in my book. The second raid is the final battle for Earth itself, where players will face Brainiac and save, or corrupt, Earth. On top of that there will be two new duos, a new alert and lots of open world content. If you feel like it’s time to make another alt, you might be interested in the new Earth power set. You can summon mighty constructs, cause earthquakes and reinforce your allies in Tank or DPS roles. The DLC will be out for PC and PS3 “soon.”
