Dead Island Riptide is getting a collector’s edition in the form of a Zombie Bait Edition and, as you can see from the above image, it’s not something you’re going to want displayed in mixed company. The centerpiece of the set is a big-breasted, bleeding torso.
Yeah.
The limited edition also contains a steelbook case, artwork, and weapon DLC, but none of that really matters because, Jesus Christ, what kind of sociopath would actually want this 12″ resin nightmare? Even putting aside the weird message a sexualized corpse torso sends, it’s just … ugly. There are few items I wouldn’t decorate my office with, but this … thing … sure would be one of ’em.
As you might expect, the reveal has already offended some people who, oddly enough, think it’s creepy and gross. That might have something to do with the fact that it’s creepy and gross. How on Earth did Deep Silver think this wouldn’t catch shit? Or maybe they did. CONSPIRACY!
Still, if you are interested, the flag design on the bikini will be different depending on which country you buy it in. Dead Island Riptide, for the nationalist psychopath in all of us!
