You might remember that not too long ago, Famitsu had reported that the sequel to zombie slaughtering mega-hit, Dead Rising, was in development. Well, everyone can relax, because according to Keiji Inafune (Capcom’s head of Research & Development and Online Business), that’s not happening quite yet.
In an interview with Game Informer, Inafune had this to say:
This is something we hear a lot from the press—Dead Rising 2, and we’re not making it right now, but it is something I would love to make. I would love to be able to take some time off from my business-side responsibilities just to be able to produce it myself—that’s how much I love the game and would love to do it.
Inafune goes on to whine about things like “money” and “time,” lamenting that he’s “very busy.” Pffft! I have the solution: pull everyone who is working on the nine different versions of Mega Man Battle Network ZX Black Granite Stonewash Edition (or any game that doesn’t include zombies, for that matter) and get some cats working on Dead Rising 2.
Please. For the love of God. Just … please.
[Thanks, Buck!]
