Deadlight has gotten a fair few Destructoid editors hot under the collar, and it’s hardly surprising — the game looks great! One benefit of the zombie saturation in pop culture is that games are trying to find unique ways to keep the undead feeling fresh — leading to titles like The Walking Dead and this sidescrolling bit of intrigue.
The newest trailer, “Fear Yourself,” looks terrific, and makes the game look far more engaging than your average scroller. Clearly, The Walking Dead source material is an influence, but it looks like it could easily stand out as its own individual thing. Either way, I’m very interested, and can’t wait to give it a go.
