Week 3 of Destiny 2‘s Season of the Wish continues its trend of adding hidden Starcats to the game. However, it seems like the yearly return of The Dawning gets the brunt of the attention this week. As such, there’s only one cosmic kitty to find.
Destiny 2‘s Season 23 has introduced some engaging content amid seemingly endless Bungie controversies. This season, players see payoff on some long-running Destiny narrative threads, enjoying fast-paced chaos in The Coil activity, and hunting for hidden felines called Starcats.
There were two Starcats added during Week 1 and another four added for Week 2. This week, the lone Starcat can be found residing within the Gnashing Chamber of Riven’s Lair. Here’s where to find the little purr monster and where it ends up in the H.E.L.M. afterward.
Gnashing Chamber Starcat Location
As with weeks past, the Gnashing Chamber Starcat can be found through sheer luck or by knowing where to look and when. The Gnashing Camber is a locale within Riven’s Lair that Guardians can come across in a run of that activity. However, there’s no guarantee the Gnashing Chamber will be one of the arenas visited during the run.
Alternatively, the Enthymeme seasonal mission does promise a visit to this room. But players must snag the Starcat while undertaking Enthymeme, as the missions are not replayable once completed.
The Gnashing Chamber Starcat is practically in sight as soon as Guardians enter the room. From the entrance, it’s straight ahead and just off to the left. The feline is resting on a table, confusedly admiring a cat statue.
Where does the Week 3 Starcat go?
Of course, players searching high and low for Starcats know that the friendly little kitties’ journies are far from over after they’re found. Each Starcat takes up residence in a spot in the H.E.L.M. and carries on with its favorite cat behavior.
For the Week 3 Starcat, players can head back to the Season of Defiance‘s War Table. Here, the Starcat found another familiar friend to ponder. It is sitting on the right side of the War Table, eyeing up another cat statue.
