Destiny 2: The Final Shape brought with it a brand new raid for players to prepare for and race in just three days later. Salvation’s Edge sees Guardians confront The Witness, possibly the toughest monster the universe has ever seen, but only one fireteam can finish it first.
Every time a new raid is added to Destiny 2, players prepare themselves and their fireteams to take part in the race to finish it before anyone else. For the first 48 hours that Salvation’s Edge is live, it’ll be on Contest Mode, meaning Bungie is actively tracking those playing it to see who finishes it first. Content creators and hardcore fans alike will be getting in on this one because The Final Shape is the last major expansion for the game.
When does the Salvation’s Edge race for world first start in Destiny 2: The Final Shape?
The race for world first in Salvation’s Edge in Destiny 2: The Final Shape will start at 1 PM ET on June 7, 2024. From that point, all teams will have 48 hours to complete the raid and claim the title of being first, for which they’ll all receive fabulous rewards like exclusive jackets, as has been the case with most previous raids.

Who is winning the race for world first in Salvation’s Edge in Destiny 2: The Final Shape?
At the time of writing, Roen has managed to make it through to the second encounter in Salvation’s Edge in Destiny 2: The Final Shape. This fireteam was definitely one of the first to get there, but the first encounter was incredibly difficult and will hold many players back.
