Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut coming to Wii U

Keep the late port train a-rollin’

Leave it to Amazon to once again break a story well ahead of a publisher’s official announcement. A new listing on the online retailer reveals Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut for Wii U is set to release on May 7. Rumors about an enhanced port of the 2011 FPS / RPG have been circling for a while, and now we’ve got the proof.

Why is this a thing, exactly? The Wii U doesn’t need ports of games that came out over a year and a half ago. It needs the newest wares on the market today. Everybody bought this already on another, more populated platform. This is why Wii U sales are sh*t. It doesn’t make sense!

At the very least, Square Enix is only charging $49.99 instead of the full $59.99. I’m guessing that the mountains of revenue generated by Final Fantasy: All the Bravest means the company can now afford to start passing “savings” along to the consumer.
