DJMAX Technika Tune: New Vita features, songs

Recommended Videos

Upcoming PS Vita rhythm game release DJMAX Technika Tune marks the first time the touch game will be leaving arcades, and to make the transition to portable smooth, the game has been reworked to use the Vita’s touch technology and other features. Every game has new note patterns created from the ground up for the game’s 3-lane format, taking advantage of the Vita’s high-resolution screens, and the ‘hold’ and ‘repeater’ notes both use the front and rear touch panel.

Players can expect 4 game play modes, with some new ones for first-time players. As for internet connectivity, DJMAX Technika Tune will feature a new real-time “World Ranking System: where players from Korea, Japan and North America will be able to compare scores in during play. Scores can be posted to Facebook with a click.

The song list is packed with 67 tunes, more than nay other title in the Portable franchise. Expect fan favorites as well as new songs, including a few from super-huge K-pop group KARA (songs “Jumping” and “Step” are among those). Songs from older titles have new artwork and background animations, too.

DJMAX Technika Tune is coming this summer, both physically and digitally, for the PS Vita. I’m in. Are you?
