Ever had a school day where you wish you could just play dodgeball all day? Well, Dodgeball Academia might just deliver that dream for you later this year.
There are many important things in life, but in the world of Dodgeball Academia, it’s all about the schoolyard sport of dodgeball. Revealed yesterday, this sports RPG from developer Pocket Trap and Humble Games seems like a school-setting battle anime that’s all about dodgeball.
It’s a pretty rad concept and it has a look to it, but the dodgeball gameplay itself is what I’m really interested to see. The way characters move around on different sides of the field definitely reminds me a bit of Mega Man Battle Network, and it looks like there some special abilities and throws to do some damage with.
If you’re interested too, you won’t have to wait too long to try Dodgeball Academia out. The developer has confirmed that a demo will be coming to the Steam Next Fest starting this Wednesday, June 16. Dodgeball Academia is currently set to launch on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC sometime this year.
