Board the Astral Express at home and on the go
Some may consider Honkai Star Rail a mobile game, but that’s only partially true. MiHoYo’s latest entry in the Honkai series is not only playable on iOS and Android, but PC as well. PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game will launch sometime in the future.
Since Honkai Star Rail is a free-to-play game, it’s incredibly easy to play on multiple platforms at once. That said, one might feel afraid to choose between PC or mobile out of fear that their save file will become locked there in perpetuity. Fortunately, aspiring Trailblazers have nothing to worry about on this front.
How to transfer your save file in Honkai Star Rail
Yes, Honkai Star Rail features cross-platform save support. Like Genshin Impact, players seamlessly switch between platforms simply by logging in to the same account. You’ll continue exactly where you left off, though you may need to configure some settings if you’re playing on mobile or PC for the first time. Check out our beginner’s guide for more information.
Though we’re still waiting on PS4 and PS5 versions of Honkai Star Rail, we can assume these will support cross-platform saving as well. Genshin Impact initially didn’t support this feature on its respective console versions, but all saves transfer as of Version 2.0. You may need to ensure that your save file is tied to a Hoyoverse account when the PlayStation versions launch, but that’s it. We’ll report back once we receive official confirmation on this front.
In other words, no matter how you started your starfaring voyage, you can continue it on any platform you like.
