Console somehow still cheaper
Origin launched a rare sitewide promo code on its storefront today, knocking 20 percent off almost everything in the catalog. (It doesn’t work on BioWare points, so don’t bother checking.)
While there are definitely some exclusions, the code works on recently released Dragon Age: Inquisition (for only $47.99) and its Deluxe Edition bigger brother. The code leaked a day early for a short period yesterday, so for a limited time it was stacking with the then-ongoing Seasonal Sale. (It’s kaput now, so we’re not even sure why we’re mentioning it.)
If you’re looking for even more Winter Sale-ish stuff at Origin, thus far it appears this 20% off sitewide coupon is the only thing available. So it’s kind of a ‘meh’ situation unless you’re thinking of getting Inquisition.
20% off code: ORIGIN20
- Dragon Age: Inquisition Digital Deluxe — $55.99 (list $70)
- Dragon Age: Inquisition — $47.99 (list $60)
Side note: although PC games (especially of the download variety) are often cheaper than their physical console counterparts, the same can’t be say for Dragon Age: Inquisition, as the PS4/PS3 and Xbox One/Xbox 360 versions are all only $39.99 at Walmart at the time of writing.
