The very first RPG I ever played was the original Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior in the west) on the NES. I was immediately drawn to the golems and slimes, and even though I’d gravitate more towards other franchises like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy over the years, I have a soft spot for Dragon Quest.
Square Enix has built up quite the reputation over the past 30 years, and it’s going to celebrate that legacy with a 30th anniversary stream on May 26 at 9:30PM JST on NicoNico. Since the publisher has numerous games from the series in development, we can bet that we’ll see some updates there.
