In an age as determined to be as modern as possible, it’s sometimes difficult to find artists who will approach art by touching a pencil to paper and creating it all by hand. WayForward’s Marc Gomez, on the other hand, chose to approach A Boy and His Blob‘s charming design in a way that, while certainly more time-consuming, definitely reflects the effort and time invested.
Hit the jump to check out a video that shows off some of the original concept art from the game, which depicts everything from an overly emotive Blob to some totally different looks for the characters altogether. I think you’ll agree that while the concepts are all attractive, the look they chose in the end definitely suits the final product in a pretty fitting way. Speaking of the final product, you can look forward to a full developer walkthrough of the E3 demo coming soon!
