E3 10: GoldenEye 007 Wii shows off its updates

I’m a massive Bond fan in almost every realm of entertainment, and thus GoldenEye 007 is one of my favorite games ever for a plethora of reasons. The chance to play it again revamped and with new features is making me very happy, and I think if you check out the trailer for the just announced game above you’ll be pretty happy too. Plus, with the next Bond film on hold this is all I’ve got.

So what is in store for us on this revamp? The game will obviously have Wii Remote/Zapper support, but for those looking for more of a classic approach, the Classic Controller is compatible as well. You can obviously see the graphical uptick the game has received in screens below, which depict a few recognizable levels, but what isn’t as clear is the hinted-at extra content in single player and of course the multiplayer.

Multiplayer will consist of 40 total characters, 8 classic Bond characters, 5 maps, 3 standard modes and 16 special modifiers that allow gamers to create over 500 different game combinations. The online multiplayer will support 8 players and feature extra modes not present in the split-screen. I’m sure there is plenty more that will be announced before the game’s release this holiday season.
