Since they aren’t a major platform holder and didn’t host a press conference during which they announced a truckload of games (here’s lookin’ at you, kid), you might’ve forgotten that a little Capcom game called Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds was announced a few weeks ago.
But, having recently joined the Very Old and Sacred Order of Making Sure Rule 34 on Felicia Never Dies Out, I’m honor-bound to post about it, even if the feline floozy doesn’t make an appearance in our little gameplay video up there. Captain America? Puh-lease.
Besides from all the boilerplate aesthetic comments — looks gorgeous and crisp, etc. — what I noticed first is how fast MvC 3 is. It might be because my friends and I were mediocre at Marvel vs. Capcom 2, but I don’t remember that game being quite as brisk as its successor.
Other highlights include quick looks at Deadpool and Dante, as well as Spider-Man’s New York City state. While I’m not a Marvel aficionado by any means, I’m assuming that those giant Macy’s Day Parade balloons of Spidey’s face suggest that we’re dealing with pre-Toby Maguire.
And hey, for the info you actually want: Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 will be available next spring for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. And if you just can’t wait, here’s even more new footage from E3.
