E3 confirmed to remain in Los Angeles until 2015

During this year’s E3, it was reported that the Electronic Software Association was considering a new city in which to host the famous trade show. After it was discovered that the organization had big news for us on Monday, many speculated we’d get our change of venue. Turns out, we got quite the opposite.

The ESA has declared that L.A. will remain the home of E3 for the next three years, with the familiar Convention Center playing host until 2015. Looks like the “issues” that caused it to look elsewhere have been resolved.

“In 2012, E3 brought 45,700 video game industry professionals, investor analysts, journalists and retailers from 103 countries together for a three day industry trade show that generated $40 million in revenue for Los Angeles,” revealed the ESA. Yeah, it makes sense L.A. would fight to keep that little cash cow.

I look forward to visiting L.A. for another three years! Except I kind of don’t.
