Apparently — and this is news to me, really — The Beatles are kind of a big deal. Something about shaping rock n’ roll history, according to reliable Internet sources like Wikipedia. I suppose the same could be said about Harmonix’s Rock Band, which is kind of a big deal in its own right.
So while I was at E3, I thought, “What the hell? I’ll check out The Beatles: Rock Band.” True story: I was late for my appointment by fifteen minutes, missing most of the presentation which took place inside of an amazing recreation of The Beatles’ legendary Abbey Road Studios. I’m told the demonstration was great, by the way… I just didn’t get to see any of it. I can’t really wrap my head around why they simply didn’t wait for me to show up.
Harmonix’s John Drake was kind enough to let us sneak back stage, giving me the chance to assault him with questions (many of them inapprorpriate) about The Beatles: Rock Band. Hit the jump for a peek inside the mock Abbey Road Studios, to hear Drake sing the hooks for most of the 10 announced game tracks, and world exclusive information on in-game facial hair.
