Electronic Arts is clearly not to be f*cked with when it comes to iPad games. They’re going to drop all kinds of crazy, hardcore stuff on to Apple’s new platform. Stuff like Scrabble and Tetris.
Okay, so EA did put those two on iPad but there’s a few other titles which arrived today with a distinctly more hardcore flavor. iPad versions of Need for Speed Shift, Command & Conquer Red Alert and Mirror’s Edge are all currently available for your enjoyment.
Prices range from $7.99 for Tetris all the way up to $14.99 (Need for Speed Shift). I think that’s about three bucks too many for the block-dropper, but that’s not going to stop it from selling. Command & Conquer sounds pretty interesting, though. I hope it winds up being a good title, since the iPad seems ideal for an RTS.
Any of this pique your interest? There’s more details in a press release beyond the fold.
