Looks like my weekend plans have been made for me
Talented Melbourne-based indie developer Powerhoof has announced that its delightful local (for now?) multiplayer game Crawl is getting a fairly substantial update titled Demon Lord.
Notable changes include, but are not limited to:
- New monsters to control! A powerful flying demon, a venomous scorpion, a ghost girl slinging a magic flame, and an undead lord able to summon zombies at will!
- Each deity you worship now gives you a unique buff, and there are 4 more to choose from! Inhabit the blobs you’ve spawned as a ghost.
- Improved controls for bows and crossbows – Hold down attack button to aim, then release to fire.
- New traps, new items, and a revamped potion system.
This is just a small sampling of the things Powerhoof has added or fixed in the latest update. If you’d like a detailed list of the changes, take a look at the latest post on the community forums.
Crawl is a multiplayer-centric competitive dungeon crawler done up in a gorgeous retro aesthetic with a killer soundtrack by freelancer Alex Yoder.
